The author of the book, violin virtuoso Pavel Burdych, maps in detail the life and artistic stages of Kéler's life, from his early youth in Bardejov to his great success as a composer and conductor throughout Europe. The publication also includes a complete list of Kéler's published and so far known unpublished works.

During the 13th year of the Cultural Summer of Béla Kéler festival, the ceremonial launch of the book "Béla Kéler - maestro of Bardejov" took place in the hall of the Municipal Office in Bardejov. It is the first complete book-published biography about the life and work of music composer, conductor and violinist Béla Kéler, a native of Bardejov. The author of the book is Pavel Burdych, general director of the Béla Kéler Society. The book contains two main parts, first The Life of Béla Kéler and second part Béla Kéler's Works. The book is bilingual, written in Slovak and English. The book chronologically copies Kéler's significant artistic periods, whether it's are permanent conducting engagements or guest performances, which he realized in the last ten years of his life. The publication was financially supported by the Slovak Arts Council, the Music Fund Slovakia, the Bardejov Community Foundation and the City of Bardejov.
